We all have a certain goal that we eye when we progress in our life. It looks foolish when we pursue or think of pursuing the goal at a very young age. This is because there is no concrete thought in our mind. As a child whatever looks good to our eyes, we accept that easily hardly bothering about the people and the society. But, as we grow up, we lack in this matter and start to compress our thoughts, our likes and our passion. We start giving more importance to the world than to ourselves, which harms not only us but our self confidence.
Daniel Handler in his book "The Ersatz Elevator" wrote that,
"If we wait until we are ready, we will be waiting for rest of our lives". That's completely true. We cannot wait always for the right time because opportunity never waits for you. Opportunity and time are antagonist of each other. If one waits , the other departs.
So, it is always said to grab the chance at once without hesitating and thinking of the future.
As we grow, we encounter different phases of life and how to tackle the problems. The graph of problems is always a linear graph which moves up steeply. But, that is what teaches us to be confident and this is the correct definition of EXPERIENCE.
Then a point arrives in our lives when we enter the age of puberty.
This is nothing but the biggest test of life where we find the world a very beautiful place and place ourselves always far from it. Depressions and distractions are a common part in these periods. here, a person feels that his/her aim should be something else rather than the goal itself which is regarded as deviation. On the other hand people become quite confident about there future and start fulfilling it.
But then why we are called confident idiots??????
That phase comes right after these when the transition happens from Amateur ---------to---------- Professionals. The starting years are mesmerizing but near to completion we either give a step back or move fearlessly. We start comparing, calculating and correlating. We always put ourselves in the eyes of others....."What will they think of me if I fail????" This is the time when the calculative and aggressive mode, both play hand in hand which is termed professionally as a CALCULATIVE RISK. Observations show that this is the most frequent time when a person finds his/her love life active. The heart beats faster ..... Attractions are common..... relationship occurs and........ also heartbreaks. But, there is one group of people who search for love and strive for goals. They are regarded as the most excited and enthusiastic people. Studies say that they either run and win or stop and fail. They also run and fail but stop and win. Quite confusing?????
They are called confident idiots.These people are quite sure about their future but are either excited quite enough to approach it or start trembling to face it. Being confident is not everyone's cup of tea but wasting it in this manner is always an idiotic work.
They fear to approach their goals....fear to approach their dreams and work on it.....fear to approach their love of life. The only reason being the FEAR OF REJECTION. The sense of "if I fail".
The sense of "can I do it??" They forget that if they don't take this opportunity they might not get it again and then sitting at your study desk at the age of mid 40's, they think "I missed it".
Don't have a self doubt which would harm your self esteem.
Start acting on it than thinking and smiling. It doesn't matter what is your goal...who is your inspiration.....and how you want to fulfill it.
If it is simple to get a job and placed, then get over it and grab it. If it is to speak out to your love then do it. Time always plays its role but will never disappoint the one who respects it. But, sometimes you need to prioritize......time or opportunity. It is said time heels everything but......cannot bring back the missed chances and it cannot bring back the missed persons of your life that you cherished with them. When that time passes we name it as MEMORIES.
So, it is upon us whether we grab the chance and enjoy the whole life with that happiness or just sit and smile of that wonderful time we had with it...
